Default IBM you are stupid for doing this.

Ok so my laptop is an IBM R51 and I love it except for one very stupid design flaw. I use the arrow keys continuously and on each side of the up arrow is a page forward and page back key I keep hitting at some of the worst possible times.

So does anyone know if I can custom disable these keys? I never use page forward or back for anything as I have never had them...so help me before I trash a new comp in frustration.

You wish...

I found what I needed. Turns out there is a keyboard customizer included with this setup and I can turn certain keys on and off at will.

I wonder if I can turn off the quotation key...hmmm this could be fun :rick:

Yeah this is my second IBM and after my experience with that stupid Toshiba crapping out on me in one year I don't think I will be buying anything but IBM for my laptops anymore.

IBM laptops are pretty much the best on the market, IMO. Just a tad expensive-- compared to Dell, but then you do get what you pay for.

i leave it running for at least a week at a time and its still goin strong each time i pick it up.

max, you are right you get what you pay for.

and IBM's c/s is some of the best around IMO. blows dell out of the water from my experience.

Yeah I found out in my shopping for a laptop that I am considered an "industrial user" by useage standards since I average 12 hours +/- daily on my computers. When I have a laptop nearly all of that time is put on it because I like being able to work anywhere I want to.

So yeah I am pretty hard on my laptops and I just can't afford to mess around with those stupid weak ass commercial grades anymore.
