I think barcodes on the back of a neck, with a redundant RFID chip placed at the base of our skull in case we rebel and don't shave our hair to regulation

how's this new standardized ID going to help fight terror or illegal immigration. is it like if you dont have one you can't do anything. eg: open a bank account, get a job, or drive a car? what about all those kids under 18 will they need one too?

:dunno:

But if they put this into action I am leaving as well.

Its not that I am unamerican or whatever I am going to be called but that is too much info tied to a single piece of ID. If somehow a person slips past the safeguards and wants to mess with the system then that person can destroy the life of any individual they choose either systematically or all at once.

Allowing the Department of Homeland Scrutiny be in charge of this detail is an even bigger piece of paranoia added to the quotient because they already have shown signs of too much power at their disposal and the temptation for it to be abused will be even greater.

Of all the things I fear the most I fear any sense of absolute power being given to any single department of the government the greatest. Homeland Scrutiny has already been given too much power with the only person they answer to directly is another questionable committee.

Yeah, my school uses social security numbers for student ID's and they're thrown around like nothing. It gives me the heebie jeebies.

This just looks like a feel good thing to do. It looks as though it would be able to help but how practical is it?

We already have a federal identification document, they call it a passport. I fail to see how this invasive program would deter anyone here illegally that is under the radar of the authorities. I can't imagine either of my leftist senators voting in favor of it, but that bitch boxer does not have to worry about an election for pretty much the rest of her life, so you never know
