Freaking a...I had to reboot, and upon rebooting my computer crapped out. After 15 mins of pulling my hair out I thought to pull a stick of ram out to see if it was bad. One of you guys jinxed me.

good if you are adding onto a current 1GB or 2GB system....

but 2 sticks of 512 can be accessed quicker than a single stick of 1GB.

 

i already have 2 sticks of 512 only 1 slot left

4x256 of pc800 RDRAM, man that stuff is expensive.. bought all four sticks on ebay for 300 shipped. h: Its almost double that at retail stores.

Sold my existing 128x4 in two auctions for 75 each. so it wasn't too bad all said and done.

It is fast though

 

I have 512 of PC2700 (Samsung) in my desktop. My computer is basically unusable when burning a dvd. I want to add more.

What brands do all of you run?

I want to add a 1 gig stick to mine.

1. Will I have problems if I use another brand other than Samsung?
2. Also will adding something like PC3200 to my PC2700 cause problems? Should I stick with PC2700?
