they're close enough (well, the g35 sedan)

sure, its RWD, but aside from that, they're pretty much the same car.

the altima is close to the maxima, but having driven them both, the altima doesn't near compare to the maxima in terms of space, quality, design, and ride dynamics.

but I haven't driven anything other than the 2.5S, so I couldn't tell you about the SE-R or 3.5S altima. But the maxi's cabin is 100x better

Not G35. It looked like a big Maxima and had a V6. FWD too.

yeah, the vq engines are hardcore :eeek:

the new nissans in general are really surprising. The Pathfinder is a GREAT suv (I wish I could afford one), the Armada and Titan are fucking beasts with the 5.6l torque whore engines. The altima/maxima/sentra are probably the better cars one can rent from enterprise (compared to some of the crap the big 3 puts out)....

but they're still riddled with problems. The two 5.6 vehicles have shoddy brakes that have been warping around 12-13k (waaay too early). some of the sentra's and altima's have issues with buttons and small shit like that. then there's been the oddball issues, like smoking engines and whatnot. One time an armada's radio system fried out, and they had to replace the whole unit.

there's two g35s, ones a coupe, the other a sedan. They don't share any sheet metal, only underpinnings and engines, and even then, the coupe has a bit more power.

egronomics aside, yes.

but then again, I consider the accord and the tl pretty much the same thing, too, as I considered the integra and the civic to be pretty much the same thing.

but you own a g35, so you're anger at my comment is understood.

if I paid 10k too much for a 350z with a rear seat, I'd be pretty upset too :chuckles:

well the difference is, accords and TLs are based on the same platform, as were integras and civics. can't say the same for the maxima and G35. in my opinion, that doesn't equal to "pretty much the same thing."

"10k too much for a 350z with a rear seat?" hahahaha

So an I35 then.

I got mixed up because 2003 was the last year of that style Maxima, and I was thinkin new Maxima, but it came out in 2004.

So what 18SecFerio drove was this:

And what you drove was this:

No. Totally different platforms that happen to be share an engine, and are built by the same company.

But I caused confusion cuz I forgot about the I35 which is what ED9man was talkin about.

I know it wasn't a G35. I would've been a little more excited about driving it.

It had a V6, 2004 model. Maybe not FWD.

yeah, I am pretty sure it is the one your posted fatbooty. (I should learn some first names h: )
