I have a Clarion HU, not that one in particular but... It does it's job.

This one looks real nice, though.

the quasi-5.1 really does it for me.

I'm torn between that and throwing down a bit more for an eclipse unit. But this one is much more inticing. and cheaper h:

edit:
add another $330 to my debt :happysad:

i also have a clarion (soon to be switched with alpine) but it's an awesome unit.

i had the ribbon cable connecting the faceplate to the unit break, so i had to order new ones and solder them on. but that goes with all units and wear.

i've only played around with that HU at a store, it's pretty nice

not a big fan of clarion. the display on that looks like something out of a sci-fi movie. their product line is good one year, horrible the next. alpine and kenwood are still top dogs with clarion and panasonic following behind.

i was very curious as to how well the glide touch works..

best buy test: it's awesome! works well, just like buttons, but will be a must for the ipod controlling

Alpine & Pioneer only for me...
That seems a bit pricey for what seems to be a decent system, nothing really too fancy...

Perhaps WiLLy can provide insight as he was a Clarion man.
