I had bad coverage with AT&T...it's better now with T-Mobile, at least where I live.

t-mobile customer service sucks... att customer service sucks back then. i don't know about now.

I've got ATT/Cingular here in Colorado. I spent 5 days in Manhattan last December and I got great reception everywhere I went. I'm sure that any of the companies are likely to have good reception in Manhattan, seeing as it's one of the densest concentrations of cell phone users in the world.
I like the ATT/Cingular service and reception, but my LG cellphone SUCKS. I have to restrain myself from throwing it against the wall about once a week. It drops calls (no matter how many bars I have), often won't notify me of call waiting, and switches into "SOS mode" (re: emergency only) randomly about once a week, dropping whoever happens to be on the phone at the time. I need a new phone badly.

I had cingular when it was originally named pacific bell wireless. Signed up 1 week after they offered service. Had it ever since.

yea, but cingular now doesnt really any free phones now. my mom has the service and its pretty good. better reception then my metro of course.
im on a t-mobile pre-paid and i get better reception my my mot v60 than the erriccson t610...so wuteva.
