I did tell you I was going. Well sort of.
Anyway after dinner I headed out around 11:30. I had no clue where to go so I asked the doorman. He said to head over sort of near-North to Clark street and whatnot, by Wrigley Field. Took a cab that way and went to this place called John Barleycorn. Dunno if anyone's heard of it. It's like a bar and restaurant during the day, at night it turns into a pretty big bar/club. Downstairs they have this big bar in the middle of the place and lots of space. Upstairs they have a smaller bar in the middle and a pretty big dance floor with a dj stand. There's a lounge area in the back of the upstairs with booths and whatnot, and then two small bars in the corner by the dancefloor. Stayed there for a coupla different dj's sets, went to one or two other bars, hopped a cab home.
Ended up an alright night, although I spent a good chunk of change on freakin cab fare and drinks that were $5-7 a pop.
