Bye Bye Adelphia
I'm in the minority... but I like Adelphia. I'd have to rate them above average. 4.25/5 stars.
But they are being bought out, that's not news.
But the deal is settled, that is news.
Cablevision did not win, unfortunatly. It's who I was hoping would win.
Comcast and Time Warner have won and will split Adelphia's coverage into their own.

Adelphia Deal Done
Comcast & Time Warner new owners
Despite last minute bidding efforts by Cablevision, Comcast and Time Warner Cable will be the new owners of Adelphia, according to press reports. Comcast will gain 1.8 million cable subscribers as part of the deal, Time Warner Cable looks to add 3.5 million cable subscribers. Adelphia users: the deal should be closed within 9-12 months.

I lose my connection about 2 or 3 times a month and it's a brand new area so it's not like the lines are bad. I hope the service gets better considering I work from home and am on all day long. I did get a letter the other day saying they upped my badwidth for free so that's good. :bigok:
:edit: I have adelphia, btw

Exactly.
I have Adelphia... used to have Time Warner. Hope I get it back. The other day some techs were ****in around, cut the cable TV for my development, then the internet... then somehow managed to cut ALL the electricity off.
:eh: Gotta be a retard...
Well everyone has their own story. Some love it. Some hate it. Some really don't care that much.
I've had great service from them in the time we have lived in PA and had cable modem service with them.
The infrastructure is already in place, so that won't be changing. If anyones problem is because of that, don't expect anything to happen.
