So my parents wanted me to get a job this summer here at school so I didn't sit on my ass all summer (which I'm cool with. I have to stay here so they don't waste money on rent, and I think i'll hang myself if i don't have something to do). I thought they also wanted me to save a lot of money too, so I've been looking for jobs for the past month but couldn't find squat. So finally I went to the B Dalton here (its a bookstore), since a friend of mine from my old bookstore job works there and is a keyholder. She says the hours aren't great and she's not sure if i'll be able to get my leaving pay from waldenbooks (which wasn't that great anyway), but I figure I can try and find another PT job after that.

Called my mom, she sounded really excited. I'm like "mom, this job isn't going to pay well and I'm not going to make a lot." She didn't even care :wtf: Sometimes I really don't get these people.

OH i wanted to ask the college peeps what they'll be doing.

 

It's not about money...its about not sitting on your ass.

i know, but you'd think that while I was at it get a good paying one which means less money they have to dish out to me. I just find it hard to believe that I could actually stay unemployed for three months with nothing to do. They did raise me better than that h:

i work full tiem during school so full time the summer too

 

i secured a desk job in philly doing research for a law firm

 

hopefully i will be getting this apprenticeship for the next 5 years.


i hear about it tomorrow, monday when I get to work.
