So back to my question, is there something I can do about the glazed pads? Is it bad?

mechanics wont bed the pads in.

you can try scrubbing the pads with some friction material. then beds the pads in again.

I didn't have any problems with glazing on my PBR (axxis) ultimate pads.

Would it be recommended to change out both front & rear rotors to Brembos, or would just the fronts be okay, as they do the lion's share of the braking effort. I'm installing Hawk HPS pads front & rear, and the original Honda rotors have never been turned in 50K miles, and have no evidence of any grooves or abnormal wear. (original pads, too !) Did experience some possible warped sensations - let me re-phrase that before the wrong idea takes hold ! - what I meant to write was 'some pedal pulsation when braking moderately hard', and it's since ceased doing that. May have been in the ABS, and not warped rotors. Steering wheel did vibrate a bit at the same time, so I do think it was the rotors. . .

At 80k miles. I only have my front rotors and pads out. Rears are still OEM and looks like it last another 30k h:
