Check out NOPI - they had some in their clearance section on their website a week ago - decent prices.

Question - is their any documented evidence of any improvement of using Brembo blanks over stock Honda rotors - assuming that the Honda rotors are in as-new condition, and never have been turned, etc. Or would it stop one just as fast to merely stick on a Brembo decal and pretend. . .? LOL (usually when someone claims that their car now stops much shorter, has less pedal pulsation or vibration, etc. they are comparing old & worn out brakes with brand new replacement pcs.)

Also, will aftermarket - 'more aggressive type compound' brake pads - such as Hawk HPS pads - cause any fits, like scoring of the rotors, glazing, etc. w/ stock Honda rotors? (BTW - my son experienced some glazing using EBC greenstuff pads w/ EBC slotted & dimpled rotors, and very high wear rates on the fronts)

From what I noticed that the Brembos are better than stock, due to the fact that they don't warp as much as the stock rotors. When I first got my accord they need new rotors and new pads. I just went and got the stock rotors from the dealer and stock pads. I use to drive 145 miles a day and in a lot of stop and go traffic. I noticed the stock rotors would warp after a few months of driving. So then I got the Brembo blanks and the Hawk HPS and what a huge difference. They been on there a liitle more than a year and still no warping, or glazing.

Just my own experience!

(I also had AEM pads, but didn't like them)

That's what I thought.

Brembo OE blanks: $25.99 each (x2) at importrp.com

Honda OE rotors: $68.75 each retail, $51.57 each at HAP

Brembo is "just as good if not better"

I got some glazing with Axxis/PBR MetalMasters on one pad. When the pads glaze, are they ruined? Or just degraded performance? Can you unglaze them somehow?

My other pad chattered like crazy for the first 3k miles. It's got a huge rough patch that gives that grinding sound and cut grooves (or deposited grooves) into my rotor.

I'm not surprised the ebc greens caused problems. I had the same problem. Those are junk.

I had them professionally installed (along with the new brembo blanks) and followed the break in procedure according to the instructions that came with the Axxis pads.

So back to my question, is there something I can do about the glazed pads? Is it bad?

Ok, I just read the links at Stoptech. I guess the Axxis pads didn't tell me anything besides the 40-near 0 brake in. I broke moderately, then let it cool without applying brakes; as per the instructions.
