... Only reason he isn't banned is because he's good friends with a regular Stanger and the owner of the site is afraid to lose the Stang poster (whom I don't care if we lose 1 Stang poster to rid ourselves of a troll).

Who do you think is right,me or the Import guy.Switch rolls and imagine it's me here doing that stuff. How would you guys take to it?Flame me?Probally.
If the tables were turned, the troll would be banned. It's that simple, IMO.

Frankly, I wouldn't worry about what the other member chooses to do in response to your banning the troll. The disciplinary action is for the benefit of the board as a whole. And if the other member wants to stay with MM, he will understand why the ban was implemented.

Yeah, ban him. You don't need that crap. He's just inept and creating friction.

Just ban him. If you're afraid of losing one member, think of all the people he could potentially turn off to your forum.

I wouldn't ban him I'd just edit all his posts so that he wouldn't feel like posting anymore...

Got links to the guy's posts? Is he posting it in a general/off topic forum or is he posting in all the wrong areas? If he is being a nuisance, definitely ban him. If he is just trying to discuss topics that are allowed and people are enjoying healthy debate without being bothered by it, then it might simply be an instance where you're going to have to bite your tongue and ignore the posts. There are many posts like that here on this site.

BTW, is mustang mafia a new site or something? I'd never heard about it until the last few months. I also think it's pretty strange that there seem to be lots of posts by members from there trolling the boards here while others apologize for them and don't cause trouble. Was it a Honda owner who first went there to cause trouble or a Mustang owner who came here to cause trouble that started this whole mixing of boards?

One night a bunch of Mafia members went and bombarded this one site.Well, then we had 1 member go around on his own (we never asked him to) and he trolled some sites and advertised the Mafia. Then we had Import owners pretending to be Mafia members trolling other sites so we'd get flooded.

I never did any trolling, and yes,the site is fairly new.Went up in February I think.
