Default al sharpton - the crook

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...2005Apr12.html

i don't understand why CNN and the likes haven't started reporting on this yet.

and that washington post article is only half the story as there's a tape out there that shows al sharpton in a hotel room accepting a handful of checks, and asking for more.

not that this is a surprise, it's obvious he's a scumbag, but it's curious that the media is so hush about it so far.

because if they do they run the risk of Al suing them whether he is guilty or not. He is a very high profile religious activist and a high ranking member of many black activist groups....thats a lot of power to be sticking a fork into so playing it safe is in their best interest.

Yeah well he Washington Post has also been known to run a lot of slander articles in the past as well.

I agree though it probably is party bias as usual and party X is full of very bad people

John your statements about CNN being worried are just wrong. Fox News handled this story yesterday while CNN has not even touched it. CNN isn't handling it because it is against one of their own

I wasn't arguing anything withyou so don't take it that way. Personally I could care less about Sharpton, Jackson and a few others and if they all fell off the face of the earth it wouldn't really hurt at all.

Anyways you are right and I am wrong, have a nice day

i don't see why more major media outlets wouldn't be reporting on this, "despite reports that federal authorities had opened a criminal investigation of his fundraising." if that is indeed true, there's no reason to not report on it. i mean they don't have to make it a big deal, but most people would at least mention it. he's a relatively large personality, usually draws a lot of attention, and likes to run for president. why shouldn't they be interested?

bonzo: although it may be valid, bringing up fox news isn't going to prove anything to anyone here, or help in the argument.
