actually sounds like a decent place to go. we'll be leaving for it saturday morning, hopefully I'll drag my ass outta bed before it gets too sunny so we can get there at a decent time.

I'd like to get there and have the transmission in my trunk sometime around noonish. Maybe crash LT's party, then do some site seeing or something. Going to be making a 4 hour trip, might as well have some fun down there.

People are always impressed by Pittsburgh when they actually come here. I think you'll have a good time.

If you're in a REALLY touristy mood, take the incline to the top of mount washington overlooking downtown. You can board the incline at Station Square, also on Carson St - close to South Side. It's one of the best views ever - especially at night.

Nothing will come close to Clifton Hill for "touristy!!!" attractions.

wow that was a trip. I'm beat.

Got a hotel just north of state college last night... had some late night dinner at Denny's. Got up at like 7.30am. Drove to pittsburg (just north of it), got the transmission. Drove around for a half hour trying to find some place that had a bathroom to use to wash the grease, blood, sweat and tranny fluid off me.
Drove upto Cranberry, PA and had lunch at Quaker Steak and Lube. (was really good, sorry LT we missed ya. we were there well before noon and had nothing to do)
Got back on the road, got onto I80east and stopped at the first rest stop, pulled out my pillow from the back and slept for about an hour and a half.
Woke up and realized how long I slept for, hauled ass for about 5/6th the way to state college and then there were like a million cops and they looked like they were getting ready to just start pulling over tons of people. Slowed down and didn't get pulled over at all.
Got to state college around 5.30pm. BS'd with a friend there, got a tour of the new IST building and some of campus, had a snack at Baby's.
Got back on the road and came home.

I'm going to pass out now.

oh and averaged about 34-35 mpg the whole way. :yay:

The end.
