I consider gifts money already spent, and I would never expect something returned... If I got something back, I would sell it to get it out of my sight.

That being said, I'm wearing a $100 watch that an ex bought me, as well as some semi-nude photos of her that she wanted back, but I never returned.

I would scan them & upload them to the net, but I would be embarrassed to say I dated that h:

when me and my ex broke up i decided to keep a set of concert tickets, 3 tickets 1 for me one for her (birthday gift) and a 3rd one for her Bro. I gave the money back on the 3rd ticket and kept the other 2. She asked if i wanted the necklace back that i got for her too but i said no she could keep that, as well as the flowers that she got for her birthday months earlier h:

 

Is it wierd that my last gf from 2 years ago that I got a promise ring for still wears it everyday even though she's been with a new guy the whole time? Not that I care, it was so long ago. But she saw me once while I was home on leave and she still had it on. She noticed me looking at it and told me it's her fav ring. :dunno:

no...my girlfriend of 7 years gave back my engagement ring - IMO thank god - but also gave back an expensive exotic glass fish that my mother bought for her over a year before our break up and she gave it back. I felt like shit and still look at it and think about how much I regret dating her for as long as I did...or at all..
