sata driver? sata doesn't need a different driver. it's backwards compatible with ATA/IDE drivers.

I'll bet the software raid is enabled in the MB bios.

nope.......problem solved.
When installing windows xp I have to press f6 at startup to install a third party scsi or raid controller. After that shes all good now.
