agreed.

my V1 PSX died because of a warped laser guide track. that caused me to turn the system upside down, to the left, to the right, on its side, and just any which way to find a sweet spot so the disc wouldn't skip.

the V7 I replaced it with was solid.

I believe the PSX went up to a V9 before the PSone hit shelves.
