if you're only considering the medication because a doctor told you so, forget it. you're fine as is.
So very true Andrew. So many doctors today are too quick to hand out pills instead of trying to look at the real problems and solve them. Sure some people do need anxiety medication, but if you saw how many people actually take it your jaw would drop. We now live in a society where every takes a pill instead of confronting the real issues.

Jae how long have you had these problems? If it hasn't been that long, chances are it is not something you should have to take a pill for. Could just be because of the current situations in your life. If it has been a life long thing then pills may be the way to go. Then again, if you have gone through life thus far without them, do you really need em? Lots of times the side effects are worse than the condition they are suppose to cure.

Writing a scrip is fast, scores you points with the pharmaceutical companies and requires little thought. The average American does not want to "fix" their problems, they want a pill. Take for example the obesity problem in the U.S., a tiny minority has some endocrine problem, the vast majority are just fat bastards who don't want to work at something or knock off the Big Macs. I would agree with the post above that says if the problem is new, the cause is likely recent. I guarantee that I would have been put on Ritalin as a child, if that hyperactive thing was as popular then as it is now

Jae, Wellbutrin has low wee wee side affects. But yeah, uhm, the others really do affect it.

You may be better off with just a therapist. But you have to be willing to make some changes, and change your views, and make coping with it part of your daily life. The biggest thing is to not let your anxiety stop you from going about everyday life, because that will ruin your life very quickly and start a snowball effect which is very hard to overcome. :happysad:
