iPOD users. Need Help.
dood you can get the ipod 20 gb for $284 at amazon now
I highly suggest spending the extra $50 or less on the 20gb instead of the 6gb. You'll be thankful later since u can do so much more than just store music on this baby.

I'm not impressed with the iTrip. The signal to noise ratio is really bad. It will overwhelm your radio and drown out radio stations while it's on, but this comes with losses. Here in Richmond where I live, the radio dial is heavily populated, and sometimes when we set the station at.. say... 93.5... it actually picks up on 96.7...
that ain't right.
But overall, it works. It's a cheap solution for connecting an iPod to any stereo. Many head units won't switch to the changer ports unless there's a DIN plug that senses a changer connected. You need to see if you can switch your deck to the auxiliary ports without a changer connected. If you can, the cable above will work. If you can't, then see if there's an adapter made for your HU that can simulate a changer. I know there are some out there, but you need to check compatibility.
...or just buy the new Alpine HU that controls your iPod and plugs in with a dock connector.
