Ever seen the movie, The Devils Advocate? I guess there are lawyers in real life that get guilty people off the hook. How in the hell could you live with yourself? Not saying this is one of those cases, because i've never even heard of the guy.

Its all about what the state can prove. In this case, the state could not prove or link him to the murder, so basically he has to walk. Same thing with OJ sorta...

Yeah, I agree that he most likely did it, but all the evidence is circumstantial or comes from witnesses with less-than-stellar credibilty. The cops can place him in the area but not at the scene, there's no blood evidence, no witnesses to the shooting, the murder weapon used can't be linked to Blake, and from what I understand the cops kind of bungled the investigation.
Since it's a murder trial, I'm sure that there is still a "reasonable doubt" in the jurors minds as to whether or not he did it.

:werd:

The DA had no case...no evidence...no witnesses...nothing. It's ludicrous that it even went this far.

He was proven not guilty...he was not proven innocent. The DA basically could not place him at the murder scene. The gun he retrieved from the restaurant when she was shot was not the one she was killed with and Blake had no gun shot residue on his hands that night either. I highly doubt he pulled the trigger but did he pay someone else to do it for him...maybe.

Innocent until proven guilty. Proven not guilty. Innocent /= guilty, so we can therefore assume that innocent = not guilty.

OJ is innocent!
