I'm forced to agree. Though I do have more games for my gamecube than ps2 or xbox... It's just that half of them are Zelda titles and two Metroid games :reechy:Originally Posted by darth asiandoood
nintendo went downhill since the N64 in terms of consoles. gameboy is the only thing keeping them alive.
I want to mod my xbox and put some roms on it as well as some other games. But I'm poor and dumb so I can't do it just yet.

Zelda: Four Swords
Metroid Prime
Metroid Prime 2
Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes
Resident Evil 4
Super Mario Sunshine
Pikmin
etc..
I've had way more fun playing the games that I own on the Gamecube than any I've played on PS2 and Xbox (except maybe GTA:SA).
And I'm not a Nintendo fanboy (even though everyone seems to think so, just because I disagree with them), I'll be the first to admit that the PS1 owned the N64's ass. but, IMHO, the GCN is a great console with enough great games to justify my purchase of it. I can't say the same about the PS2.

if this is the case why dont we just put them all in one box already and call it a day... seesh...
that is like saying that technology is the reason they didnt come out with the ps3/ect.. in the first place. Obviously it is all about business. it has always been about business it will always be about business.Originally Posted by DRfrank
alright, so supposedly they'll all be using chips from ATI and IBM... WTF is up with that....if this is the case why dont we just put them all in one box already and call it a day... seesh...

and in response to everyone else my point was rather that all three systems will be using chips fromt eh same manufacturers, which seems very stupid to me... what made the ps2/xbox race so good in my opinion is that xbox had good graphics at first... not that great of games minus halo, here we are 3 years later, ps2's emotion engine is catching up to xbox's graphics and xbox's linup is starting to reach that of ps1's (i see some major franchises coming along here... although forza is supposed to be xbox's gran turismo, i think i'll tip my hat to rallisport..., then there is halo, and there is other numorous games that depend on you personal preferences [jsrf and the like..])
and i just think that no matter how different the set up is that there will be more similarities than differences...
Floppy Death! noES!!!

Honda makes great engines, they put them in Honda's and Acura's... why doesn't everyone just use Honda engines and call it a day.
I'm not trying to be an ass... just trying to give an example that more people (on a honda forum) might be able to understand more.
edit: Sony (for the PS3) is not using ATI. They are going with the better of the 2 and using Nvidia.

gamecube has the games that i believe consoles are meant for. everything else, that's what my PC is for. the GTA series is better on the PC, and the only other game i'd want from the PS2 is GT4, which is a total waste on that system. as for the XBOX, don't really know what's on it, don't care. changes are the games i'd like are out on the PC as well.

Well, what I'm interested in is the rumor I heard about the next gen Nintendo having wireless built in... if it has the new 802.11s (or x, or whatever it is), then it could rock. The next XBox will have some killer games, and could be really tempting. The wild card to me is the Playstation3. If they're able to make a system that finally has graphical superiority, it will do well... but they've been lagging to far behind in the graphical and audial quality departments for my taste.
And about the assertation that the XBox will have 3x 3.5+Ghz procs, that's impossible, They're using a modified G5 chip, and currently Apple's stuck at 2.5 Ghz. I doubt they'll scale a gigahertz in the next 8 months for the projected end of 2005 release.

Unfortunately, between the two of you, you've listed every single worthwhile GC-exclusive game(except for the MGS and the VJ games). They're all great games, mind you, but between all of my friends, they have like each game twice over. Alse, the games are fun, but not quite my cup of tea. I've found a better fit with the PS2 lineup personally, and I save my XBox for certain games like Halo, MechAssault, Ninja Gaiden, and DOA:UOriginally Posted by Reno Fett
