Man, when I got my wisdom teeth out, I was semi-conscious, able to walk without stumbling when I woke up, took a couple vicodin when I got home, passed out, took another vicodin and replaced my gouze (sp?) when I woke up and when it wore off I didn't have to take another

I felt no pain the entire time before, during or after.

But I also saw no spiders. Maybe that's your whole problem. If you weren't afraid of spiders your experience could have been just as pleasant.
