Default Anyone know about Dells?

I was looking into buying this computer but I don't know much about computers by the stats..I just know how to use them!
Who can tell me how good of a computer this is:
Dell Demension 2400, Windows XP Pro (w/ Service Pack 2)

CPU:
- Pentium 4 2.53GHz
- 256MB RAM
- 75 GB Hard drive space (74.4)
- DVD Rom
Video:
- Dell GeForce 4 OR Nvidia GeForce 2 MX (Buyers choice)
- 17" LCD Monitor
Audio/Accessories:
- Wireless Keyboad and Mouse
- Dell Web/Digi cam
- Dell Audio (2 speakers and subwoofer)

** Hard drive will be formatted before purchase. You will have a "like-new" computer. **

ASKING $600 OBO

Other stuff:
Dell Printer/Scanner - $125 firm (Pictures on request)
Power Surge Outlet Protector - $5

I'd look at new, buying a computer used is kinda pointless.

I already have a computer, it'd be for my boyfriend's mom. What she has now is complete CRAP and this one comes with a flat screen panel (what she wants) which is hard to find for cheap and this is only $600 for all of it. Her computer now is ridiculous slow AND has Windows 98

the seller in your original post said the hdd will be formatted = no OS.

check the link i posted, the second one from the left with 17" LCD is $598 and has more memory and OS, etc.

plus if something goes wrong of she needs help. she can call dell instead of your or your bf :chuckles: that is worth it's weight in gold right there

I'd go new from Dell. Warrenty itself can pay for the machine if you need it to.

Having the neighborhood kid who's good with computers come and fix it can add up real quick. Rely on dell and it's the same place over and over.
