If you don't understand what's happening to the dollar, or why, here's a good read for you. I'm concerned because I'm planning to go to Europe this summer, and things are steadily getting worse and worse for that trip...

Only the Europeans are complaining.

BMW lost close to $1B due to currency depreciation. I hope you're saving every penny.

In fact you should stop playing GT4. So you save on electricity.

dude, blegh, just convert all yoru money to euros now so the failing dollar wont hit you when you actually get there....

werd, but if you look at it this way, if you put 2k over there when they started the euro you could have converted it back to $ for 3k... heh

right except you would have probably panicked when the euro tanked and lost $500.

I'm a long term investor, and thus currency doesn't appeal to my long term, reduced risk preferences with investing. I'm just willing to put money in Euros now because of the increasing gas prices, the possible rises in interest rates, and the possibility of more international armed conflict on our part.

yeah i know i was referring to dr franks "wisdom" of 50% increase.

I would play in the currency market, only if I had $50K I didn't mind losing.
