How do you prove Honda is so reliable?

Honda automatics typically never were great, they'd shift like garbage and suck more power than usual out of the motor.

The MDX and 2nd gen TL/CL are the only ones to be worried about. To a lesser extent 6th gen Accord V6 models too.

But I guess I can include Odyssey/Pilot and 3.0CL's here as well. h:

people will believe what they want..........in terms of engine reliability i'd say all of them are decently close.........but its the little things............go on svtperformance........all of them have problems with mirrors/windows/locks/stereo/clunking/rattling/leaks/squeals.................and they think its normal............i don't think its normal for a car to have all those problems.........tell him to buy a new taurus and see how well it holds up.

Also, I am an ASE certified tech..........although i don't work in a shop i got certified before............Ford's have notoriously weak frames, at the Ford school in Colorado there is i think a taurus? and anyways, the lift was put on the wrong points and the whole frame crumpled up. Not to mention if u measure 2 civic body panels they will be identical, can't say the same for Ford.........no 2 ford panels match even though they are the same part..........and thats from a 20 year Ford technician

Haha. He drives a Ford Bronco too.

I have a former boss who drives a 200x Mustang Cobra and he thinks it's a reliable work horse. Another coworker has a lemon of an Audi A6 and the Audi dealer seems to think a new transmission at 30,000 miles is "normal maintenance", but of course, not under warranty.

It's all in the head which is why this subject is so frustrating.

I want a WRX but I'm afraid Subie isn't up to reliability.

the frame thing is true on most of the cars made.

BMW/MB are two I know for sure you can lift up any where along the outside frame as they are designed to take the weight. honda/toyota/nissan I would not bother trying.

I dunno man..........this one was pretty mangled looking........also i jack and lift my supra up from all sorts of weird angles to get around the inconvenience of it being real low and has a body kit on it........and i've never bent anything

i mean from a broad sense yeah its probably true, but ford tends to be the least stable in that dept..........the kids who lifted this car didn't like do it horribly wrong, just misplaced it by a few inches...........

i would imagine that most performance cars are better in that aspect. my friend was 1st to take delivery of evo7 J-spec LHD and he let some tuner shop (sparco I believe) borrow it. well they went to put some wheels on the car and didn't use the proper jacking point = fubared side skirt.
