The original bypass valves had a lot of problems with breaking apart and sucking foam from the valve into the engine. That has been fixed though.
They haven't really "fixed" anything. They just send out a plastic ring that keeps the foam from getting sucked into the throttle body, but the bypass valves themselves are still cheaply constructed.
