Help Asap! Computer Trouble!
Okay someone help me please!! I woke up this morning, like usual, open my laptop that i usaully leave on all night. And there is a black screen, like a boot screen, and it says "operating system not found" i'm like WTF? so i restarted it and the same shit!!!! what the **** happen? how do i fix it?????? i'm ****ed i need my pc to do HW and shit, and i have alot of shit saved on there. i'm on roomates laptop now.

Operating system not found means that your hard drive is either dead or dieing. This happened to a roommate's of mine and the drive was dead and then happened to me, but luckily mine was only phasing in and out. It would do that screen most of the time, but every once and a while I could get it to boot up. If you are lucky enough to get it to boot up, transfer all of your important crap off of it, because you need to put a new drive in. It sucks.
Also, if yours is already dead, I hope there wasn't anything you needed on there, because data recovery is wicked expensive.
Sorry I couldn't be any better help, maybe someone else knows more.

**** **** ****!!! and the cloested best buy is like ****in 40 mins away. grrrr yea it hasnt booted up yet. I need a PC. dammit Looks like i have to drive out there. wholy ****ing shit.

If the drive is dead (that's a hardware problem), your not going to be able to restore anything to it. What kind of lt is it? I would run a hard drive diagnositic test on it before buying anything.

its a gateway, i just bought it last september. i cant run a diagnostics if it doesnt boot up. i can get to the bios but thats it, i wont boot up to windows.
