No idea... but it was a very hippie-oriented group of people who did that... basically rich kids who were sent off to school by mommy and daddy, but wanted to smoke pot and live off a trust fund

No its off 101 either Carneros exit, or Glen Anne Storke Plaza exit. You can also take 101 to a small freeway called 217 which leads you to the front entrance of the campus.

Well, Goleta Valley Hospital does share the patterson offramp with the start of the 217, so they're fairly close. In fact the patterson offramp is about... a quarter mile from my old house? Maybe a half a mile tops
