Thinking about saving $15 and going with verizon DSL.

And my friend's parents just got rid of their adelphia cable since they kept raising prices. ahhaha so they'll be looking into DSL too.

in my area it went out $5. My dad called to cancel and they offered to give him starz for 3 months if he stayed on. He said okay sure. And sure enough my parents watch that movie channel at least 3 times a week.

But it's just stupid. They aren't giving us more but they are asking for more money. It would really work out to $45 per month since my dad and mom use AOL for internet, but since verizon comes with MSN premium and email accounts, it wouldn't matter. $500 a year is worth switching, unless I really used all my bandwith. But I don't. heh.

My cousin went with dish network when she got her house for this reason. h:

 

i want to get one of those packs, but i couldn't convince my parents it was necessary for me to have digital cable, especially since SATC has been canceled.

 

cable > filet minon > civics > poop > DSL.

 

lol. My parents are looking at cutting some unnessary spending. It's not like they go out every weekend and run a bar tab up, but they just notice that they have been spending a lot more, and they are going to need to retire.

And I don't blame them, fast internet service isn't improving their life much. haha
