I'm pretty happy about not living in a small town. When I want fresh sushi or Indian food or a hot dog out of a cart, I heart NY. When bands that I like that aren't that famous go on tour, I can still see 'em in the city -- and I don't have to make it a road trip. When I order stuff from buy.com in the morning, I usually have it by that night. When I want to meet new people, there are lots of them around.

Living in a small town can be nice, I guess, if not locking your car is a priority.

my area used to be really safe. then some bad apples starting moving in and burglary started going on the up, along with car vandalism, car theft, and shootings.

my city is small, it sucks, u cant get anything for a car, but the necessities are there, but good luck trying to find a OEM clutch for a civic h: big cities have it good when it comes to getting products/materials/etc...

on other note my town has a weird city law that states houses/buildings cant pass 2 stories when in a neighbor area so the old retired people can see the mountain view h: * then again the city is called Sierra Vista *

The time it takes me to lock my car at night is worth the security. :eh:

Maybe it's because of where I've grown up, but I don't care how safe a neighborhood is, I still lock sh*t up like Ft. Knox.

i always lock shit up, too many illegals in my area, two months ago they blocked off a road with rocks leading to a camping grounds area, when the people got out to remove the rocks, they knocked them out and drove off with their car. the car was strip 2 days later 300 miles away.

so yeah i tend to lock my car and home

Fawk that I can't stand small towns, I'm paranoid about my shit being broken to or vandalized so where ever I go no matter how small the town is, I'm locking my shit up. Especially if it were a house or something yeah front doors locked at all times, all have like 3 to 4 locks on the doors if I have to, I'm sorry but I don't trust anybody besides family and some friends.
