I'm so sorry 
During a recent baby shower, my mother got to know a local university professor who was retiring in the next year. My mother, all peppy, asked her "So, what are your plans for retirement?"

My mom felt like an absolute ass :happysad: But the chance of her recovery were good... it was lung cancer, though... not good, but easily operable in the worst case scenario...

My dad died of lung cancer. They couldnt operate because it was spreading.

My mom just found out one of her best friends has brain cancer. He had a tumor on his brain that they removed last week and had it tested. It came back malignant.
They gave him 3 months to live. A year if he does the Chemo, which i dont think he will. :wtc:
