honda's first truck with a v6 almost met the payload capacity of a v8 truck thats been around for years. and the honda can tow way more than the 1500.

sure, the silverado has more power and ft/lbs, but honda made a good move. I highly doubt alot of the hicks here in texas will buy into them, but I'm sure they'll be popular in the citys....

Capacities have nothing to do with size classes. The Tacoma and Frontier can tow more than 5000 lbs and their payload capacities are close to the Ridgeline's as well. That doesn't make them full size trucks. The Silverado is 225 inches long. The Frontier crew cab is 205 inches, the Tacoma (with short bed) is 208 inches. Honda hasn't released final specs yet but I'll give you 35 to 1 odds the Ridgeline's length doesn't top 210 inches. That's not full size.

If Honda dropped a V8 into a "full-size" truck, i'd trade my F150 in a heart beat for a Honda. There's just something about a Honda that makes me smile.

No. Best way to describe it is a sort of unibody on top of a quasi ladder frame. If that makes any sense.
