And by the way, try looking farther ahead than next week will ya? Sure, your rates havn't gone up -- but the more lawsuits and ridiculousness that people require of insurance companies, the higher rates insurance companies charge consumers to cover that cost overtime.

I don't know the whole story, but how much work did you miss, you can get money for that. They should be paying your medical, obviously, and your attorney needs to make some money for his time. How much did they give you for the car? If you are going to have about a grand after all is said and done, it seems like you got paid $1000 to put up with some crap for a while.

My sister had a similar situation, ass-ended by a no-insurance havin white trash beeyatch who could not manage to pay attention to the highway in front of her. She will be fighting over this for a while, she missed a ton of work, messed up her back and payment is nowhere in sight. I myself got ripped off by a former employer who still owes me a sack of cash, which I will never see, because I can't afford to pay an attorney, and they won't take it on a contingency for a piddling $50K kitty. Bottom line is, bad things happen to good people, get on with your life.

My insurance rates are perfectly fine. I've never been in an accident that was my fault and my rates havent changed since i was 16, four years ago. They have actaully gone down. Insurance rates are high because some people don't know how to drive and crash into a stopped car on the freeway doing 70 mph like in my case



ok hold on one minute you said wrong thing there i drive for a living yes i am one of those rude inconsiderate cocksukers in the big pos truck everyone bitches about. let me fill every one in on a couple things real quick yes some drivers should not be on the road swift werner covenant just to name some companies that put inexperianced drivers on the road. but everyone needs to realize that we as drivers are given a 74 fot long vehicle with 2 6x14 mirrors to see the entire right side of that truck is a blind spot. trucks roll at 80,000 pounds can you say cant stop. yet people cars seem to belive that we can stop on a dime. i have been driving for aprox. 3.5 years now and have never been in an accident in a truck! never even been ticketed in a truck! and i drive through nyc on the regular so please dont say things about highway stuff cause you have no idea what is like to have suzy soccer mom get in front of you and lock em up for NO reason or to see people drifting in and out of lanes cause they are reading the papper, oh and regardless the goverment saying its your fault cause you are the professinal driver. and as far as my friends go neither of them have given up or setteled in any way yet!

 

Haha that was hard to read. Anyways no I didnt say anything wrong, insurance rates are high because people hit other people. As in your case you drive a truck and yea that is difference when there are accidents because stupid people cut 18-wheelers off and expect them to stop. Your getting a little defensive there like if i was attacking you or truck drivers in general. I dislike the stupid people who dont pay attention when they drive and if someone cuts a truck off and they are unable to stop thats a different story.

In my case, I was on the freeway at night, we hit traffic, and i was stopped for 5-6 seconds before the idiot behind me saw me and skit for about 15 feet. Totally different then what you are reffering to.

As for your friends, thats good they shouldnt settle..oviously they were injured pretty bad and should receive enough settlement to make up for their life-time wage loss or expected loss after the accident.
