Aren't pronunciations a little weird if you don't know how to read Arabic?
Like they told us the word for halt is Kiff, but it's pronounced like cough... During the first OIF soldiers were going around saying kiff like kif or keef and the people were like :wtf:

sup man. Well yea like everyone else stay safe. Got a question for ya, what is the general consensus* of the people you are with? are they happy that they are there? or do they disapprove and feel that they should not be there? just a though, dont wanna turn this into a politics thread either. and what is urs aswell?

Yeah politics suck. Not one troop that I know of really wants to be here. We don't like it any more than those opposed to the war, but since we signed up voluntarily and took an oath to support the President, the Constitution and all of the leaders appointed over us we sort of have an inclination to side with the republicans. There are so many of us that I can't speak for everyone but that is my outlook on it anyway.
Some troops are openly opposed to it all but don't go around telling everyone. Some believe fully that we will make the world a better place.
I just realize that this is an opportunity to save a lot of money. Food, shelter, all the benefits are all here so we pocket almost all of our money, those of us who are single anyway... I may be here as much as 18 months so the way I see it is - $3,000.00 x 18 months = $54,000. :bankin:
