when I get to that point, it'll probably happen like this:

her: I'm pregnant
me: shit!
her: what?
me: uhh... I guess we can get married or something

actually, I would not marry someone just because of pregnancy h:

true story. same thing happened here.

it always gets me hot and bothered when people say that people should get married in situations like that. obviously they didn't have to go what i went through.

yep, you don't have to be married to be a good parent. I think it's better to have two divorced parents who are there for you and in good spirits than two married parents who fight all the time.

My proposal to my wife went like this:

About 1 month before I asked her parents for their permission - I'm an old fashion guy and always respect the elders. So they were thrilled of me asking for their daughter's hand in marriage.

So I planned this camping trip in a cabin. But that night it thunderstormed like nuts. Next morning we went hiking and mountain biking. I wrote a poem for her and we got to this one point on our ride where there was a bridge made of rocks across a little stream. We started to go across it and I pulled the poem out of my backpack.

As I got to the end of the poem I got down on one knee and pulled out the ring - almost falling into the stream too! Of course she said yes.

When we got back to our cabin the dozen red roses showed up at the door that I called in about 1 week before to have delivered at that exact time Then we went to Baltimore to celebrate and eat dinner.

I wish I kept a copy of the poem.
