Yeah, I was shocked when I filled up in Denver for the first time and noticed the 85 octane rating. From what the locals said, they don't need as high of an octane in the high-altitude states.

It seems that some are not educated on the 03 and later V6s engine control computers, and their ability to "tune" the engine to the fuel to produce more power. Possibly the qualifier was the (unless you're highly tuned) part?
