my ex has an xd-9...not a bad gun. she wanted the 'stainless' but i quickly swayed her decision when i found out it's not a real stainless steel, but some type of alloy.
Sub-compacts are fair, but I'm a firm believer of "pocket" pistols for carry, and full-frame for other use. The smallest I really care to go is the mid-size, semi-compact types... think Glock 19. I can't stand how small the grips are on sub-compacts and other tiny guns (Like the PPK, my little finger overhangs without the added magazine mounted finger rest... the PPK/S frame works much better)
I run into the same problem with the compacts. My friend has a Glock i want to say 27, its a .40, my pinky finger hangs off the bottom, but damn does it shoot nice. Its so smooth, little recoil, i like it.
mike01civic: you take the pics of that beam pattern?
Sorry was waitin to get my digital camera back...those phone pics were drivin me crazy. You can focus the lens, but I like if with the nice bright spot in the middle. Nice thing about it, is that you can light something up without having to aim the muzzle.
