why do you have to go into safe mode? what's the diff if i do it right now?

since the dll is in use, you "probably" won't be able to delete it. If you boot to safe mode, the dll won't be loaded and you will be able to delete it.

Also, check your HOSTS and LMHOSTS file (open with notepad) and make sure that there aren't any sites being redirected.

because if you just HJT to remove the entries, 9 times out of 10 they'll be back after you reboot since the files could possibly be running

you can get some firefox entensions that allow you to open up IE sites. go to the extensions site and there are a few that will help you do that.

if the above stuff doesn't work, slim chance but still, try checking your add/remove thing for stuff you didn't install. that actually worked for me one time.
