If i was looking for a "luxury" car ACURA 3.5 RL like a 1997. Cause we all know even if you padded the interior of a acura in gold, leather and silk it still wouldn't be luxurious.

I'd still take the new, leased car and not bother myself with such things as modding cars until out of school and gainfully employed. Of course when it comes to practicing what I preach, I went ahead and did what you're talking about doing now. Main difference being that I'm paying for the car rather than my parents.

But the big difference is I like the car as is; while modding it is certainly not out of the question it's already quite fun in stock form. I also plan on holding on to this car even after it's time to get something practical. So if you have no plans to sell this Subaru any time soon then I guess go ahead and snag it. Personally that car excites me not so I wouldn't really want to drive it around in my don't-need-a-practical-car years solely for the purpose of having it around to modify later on. But if it gets your jollies for ya then go right ahead. You seem to have already made up your mind.
