im suprised he didnt try and sell his designs to the military, he could make a lot through the navy/marines/coast guard with that thing. and you know how dangerous that will be, half the population that own jet skis cant even control them let alone something that will just randomly shoot out of the water and potentialy hitting other boaters

yes, but you can attempt to dodge a car comming at you on the road, scenerio: father and son are on a small fishing boat off the coast of some random state, fishing for anything and everything, some jerk off with money comes barreling straight up to show off how he can leap through the air, slices right threw the center of the fishing boat killing both father and son instantly, man in mechanized dolphin is un-harmed because his toy is bullet proof. it will never make mass production. cool idea, great that they made it work. but over-all it will make the waterways even less safe. its bad enough with 100s of drunk rednecks crashing into dock poles and other boaters with jet ski's.

Why won't it make mass production? Because it has the potential to kill people because of a user's stupidity? Again, that applies to most anything. I could, theoretically, get blindingly drunk and beat someone to death with a heavy clay incense burner- does that mean they shouldn't have put it into mass production? Even a small fishing boat can easily be seen from under the water, I doubt someone's going to manage to crash straight into one unless they're blind- i.e. it wouldn't happen under normal circumstances. Your example is really pretty far-fetched. It could happen, but lots of things could happen. Someone could plow their SUV off the end of a dock and come landing on that same father and son in their fishing boat- so stop the mass-production of SUVs already cause, ya know, it COULD happen.

100s of drunk rednecks probably can't afford a bionic dolphin, right? I'm guessing you live near a dock or some body of water or work around one to know that drunk rednecks crash into things by the hundreds upon jet skis, otherwise you wouldn't be saying as much.

All that aside, I think the bionic dolphin is badass and when I have the money to burn on it, I damn well will. Turbo that bastard and race around the ocean.
