Default Computer Problems

I seem to be having a problem. When i start my pc im getting a computer error signal frequency is outta range please adjust signal timing. I tried a different video card and it gave me 1 long 3 short. When i turn the monitor off and on i get a different signal read out. If anyone could help A.S.A.P that would be greatly appreciated

So the computer's monitor is going into idle. Maybe your power source went out, that's what i'm betting it is.

actually Jae was asking the question for me,...im getting a black screen with a red box,..inside the box it says
Attention
SINGAL FREQUENCY
IS OUT OF RANGE
CHANGE SIGNAL
TIMING
25.8KHZ 58HZ

and those numbers usually decrease to 20.1 and 47

Ooooh, okay, now I understand.

Try switching monitors.

Do you have an S-Video running into it or anything? Are you able to even boot? When is it happening exactly?

did you just changed to another monitor or something? usually, it's because of the monitor that's not supporting the refresh rate set by your graphic card. Try to switch to another monitor and set the reresh rate and resolution so that it'd be compatible with this monitor. However, I believe that the usual lower refresh rate is 60hz, current monitors are supporting 75hz+. Your monitor seems to be out of date though. So in another word, you monitor is going bye bye.

fawker like i know what a S-video is,...ill break it down somemore for you


whenever i use the original video card that came with this PC im fixing,...it gives me that red box,..when i take that video card and put it in my PC,..everything is fine,...so i took my video card and put it in the messed up PC and i get one long beep and 3 short beeps and nothing comes on the screen ,...can you follow what the hell im saying?? cause i just lost myself a couple times h:

Make sure the video card is in the right slot, pushed in all the way.

it is in the right slot cause there is only one slot to push it into,..and yes i checked if it was pushed in like 4 or 5 times ,..help!!!!
