I was in physics class and we were on a break and i went in to another classroom and everyone was huddled around a little television and they told me that a plane flew into the WTC and that an attack helicopter had attacked the White House (remember all those rumors). 30 min later I went to our theater where we have a huge movie screen and when i went in all i saw was a big cloud of smoke where the towers had been. I didn't really understand that they were gone and then Dan Rather said "for those of you who are just joining us, the WTC towers are gone." Months later I was still thinking about how wierd it is that the towers are just gone. I hated FOX that day. They would over dramatize everything and make everyone worry too much. Remember when they showed the videos of people in Palastine celebrating? Why would they show that? Plus they would say "We expect the death toll to be in the hundreds of thousands" That pissed me off so much I still don't watch FOX as much as I used to. Ok i'm done ranting.

 

i was late for my business class... i arrive a bit after 9:30.. everyone is standing up.. i ask what's going on? and i was told the WTC was gone.. i paniced.. one of my aunts worked there and my other aunt worked for Xerox right across from wtc... i cried uncontrolably back to my dorm and tried calling them on my cell phone.. i'm only about 2 hours from NYC.. i couldn't get a hold of a soul... a few people i go to school with lost their parents.. a friend of mine lost her cousin.. my grandparents lost 12 friends... it hit very close to home for me.. it forever changed my life as i hope it did for many americans..

i hate to hear how people blame our president and his father.. that's one thing that bothers me the most...

and about the people in Palestine celebrating? did you know that in many other countries if you do not follow what a country says that you would die? especially in south america if you would speak out against the gov. you were never seen or heard from again? that's where some of that celebrating came from.. b/c they had to... *sigh*

 

actually, the video of the people celebrating wasnt even tied to the bombing events....i've heard CNN just dug up some archive tape and played it.

 

:werd: it's all about propaganda.. ya'llz know how much military enrollment jumped after that right? sad way to get it aint it...

 

its crazy to think that it was a year ago already. its seems like it was just yesterday. i remember i was in Spanish 3rd period and my teachers husband works for the swat team and he called and she told us. of course no one really knew what was going on at that point, but then when i went to 4th period Govt, all we did was watch everything happen on TV. everyone had suspicion that something could be coming towards us in Cincinnati b/c we are right next to General Electric which makes mass airplane engines and Wright Patterson Air Force base where they send out and house many fighter jets. i remember how pissed i was and there was really nothing anyone could do. it never really sank in and it still hasnt really, but its going to be really weird seeing everything on tv again in a couple weeks when 9/11 rolls around again.

 

i just woke up to the news on the west coast. it was like a dream. a bad dream.

 

I was driving on my way to work...couldn't believe what I heard.

It's weird b/c I will be in NYC on September 12...it's going to be weird seeing "ground zero".

 

My girlfriend's mom is on a DMAT (Disaster medical assistance team) and was sent to ground zero a couple weeks afterwards, providing medical care for the workers and military personnel. She said it was incredible because none of the workers would halt work until they absolutely couldn't take the pain of their injuries anymore. All they wanted to do is get back out there.

One guy came in with a severely ingrown nail. They told him he'd have to stay off of it. He told them to take out the nail. So they gave him some local anesthetic, took a pair of pliers, and yanked it off. He thanked them and went back to work. :eh:

I hate to be cold, but I dont really care. From second period on that day, we did nothing in class but watch tv and play agmes, was co0.

Yah, its fucked up what happend to those people. But **** happens everyday, but dont expect me to shed a tear for everyone. If I did, I would be crying everyday. Atrocities happen almost everyday all around the world. I moved on the day after it happend. People need to move on.

I am sympethetic to the terrorists. America ALWAYS supports israel. We sold israel 70% of their airforce for like a forth of its true value, some for free. We give them their weapons to kill arabs. Then we bomb afghanistan and give them some food. Big fucking deal, the food just prolongs their suffering.

Think about how israel was formed. After WWII, america and the other allied powers told the arabs to leave their land and put the jewish refugees there. That would piss me the **** off. Imagine the previous owner of your house coming with the cops telling you to get out of their house because they owned it b4 you.

Terrorists arent all evil, we screwed them over first

 

besides who screwed who first innocent people that had no idea of what was about to happen died. and being that it was in our country it hits pretty damn hard. especially when were not use to this. my heart and my thoughts still go with those who died and lost thier lives for living the american dream. i still to this day every time i see those buildings fall i have to cry.
Nevertheless, i know this isnt going to make a big difference in the world but i have to say it. Even though i don't practice any conformed religion i have to say that one truth is evident in all of them, that is to show forgiveness and brotherhood to all. but in the same reasoning i believe in revenge on those who struck first,shall be those who parrish.
just at anytime of the day tommorow have a time of silence for those who lost their lives and for the families that live on. peace
