Credit thieves should be punished severly. They should have to pay back every last cent, with interest..... ah who am I kidding? That wouldn't solve the problem would it?

It sucks for everyone it happens to, but at the rate that these crimes are growing hopefully the technology to stop it, and the prenevtative measures people and companies can take will get better.

Went to the popo today to file a report to send to the credit bureaus and the credit card company where the thief tried to open account. Came home and there was a message on the machine from another creditor who had questions about a recent credit application. Looks like I get to go file another report. Crap.
