SO I went to an Auto Detail place to get an estimate...

Ah shit guy, why so much neglect? Lazy bish.

6 months of time, that staining has a decent chance of being permannet. I don't let my cars go unwashed more than 2 weeks at the very most, usually I do it every 4 days. h: but I have readily available access to a carwash 99% of the time for free. :exnbp: Wax every 3-4 weeks depending on conditions. I take the wheel to it once every 6 months. And go nuts once a year.

I even washed the Legend today, and fvck, I don't care about that POS. Had to get the road salt off. Not a problem in Cali. h: No, don't wax the Legend... h:

Good luck with that. :happysad:

I did car detailing and that's pretty cheap for sap and stains. I remember doing someone's car like that and I was cursing the whole way (since I was hourly).

That is definitely somehting you should prevent in the future by buying a car cover. Or parking someplace else if you can. If I had a choice between parking under a tree or out in the bright sun - I would do bright sun. Since the paint can handle sunlight if you have a clear coat and take care of the outside at least twice a year.

I was sent a PM on autopia by C.B.S. (your PM box is full and my message keeps bouncing back to me!) to help out.

To the owner of the car:
Anyway, I live in daly city but i work in emeryville, and from what I can tell you're in oakland. I can take a look at your car if you want, and offer options on what to do. If you want to set up a time to meet, feel free to shoot me an email: raymondspitofjunk@yahoo.com

If you have to park under the tree, get a car cover. And wash the damn thing!

integ...if you want a good resource and haven't already visited: autopia.org is your best bet.

But it seems like you already got everything down. A polish before the AIO would be a good investment. Otherwise, 90% is the process!
