wow that is insane. I have never heard of that happening before. My best friend had a 2003 330CI and it was nothing but problems. He and his wife went through 12 rims, all the door trim was falling off. Lots of other little problems that made the car be in the shop a lot

I thought there was a recall for the front aux fan which where burning the cars to the ground

yeah that is the one I was thinking of.
Now that I think about it, I believe it wasn't just the 3.0L engine. It also applied to the 2.5L but only the M54, not the M52.

im sure it doesnt apply to all BMW's there are plenty of them on the roads today with no major problems but im sure most of you can see why i plan to stay away from them, probably forever.
Mercedes and Audi, Lexus, Acura, etc are all perfect alternatives for me.
