Well um nevermind then. :uhhok:

I don't pay much attention to the intricacies of VW/Audi products.

I only know because I was thinking about S4 avant and did some research.

generally they are fine if you don't chip it. once chipped seeme many of the turbos will die on you and those bastards are deep inside the engine bay.

Probably a good idea, when you advertise it, to make sure that you mention that it isn't actually an M3. :P

I suppose that could be true when you're comparing 1 model that has only been around for about 8-9years vs a whole car maker. :fawk:

another friend bought a 3 series. it caught on fire.

my next door neighbor had a 7 series. ashes.

a friend of mine was looking at an '03 330ci last week. fuggin thing burned.

thats a few too many examples too close to home for my comfort. too bad, i think they are beautiful cars but 4 examples just from people i know on a personal level. :dunno:

no. h:

nah seriously though, all were a result of electrical faults. the friend with the 3 had it for sale and no insurance so he took a total loss.... torched bimmer and nothing to do with it.

edit: i dont know the nature of the 330ci but c'mon a 2003????

edit2: the friend with the 5 series had his parked in the garage.... so i dont think he was gonna risk losing his house over some pyro fun (or insurance fraud )

:chuckles: sucks for them

I'm on my 4th bmw with no major issues whatsoever

I guess it's possible but if any car is not maintained it's possible. There was also a recall I thought for 330ci/i or anything with the 3.0L engine.
