My sister is looking into the IS300, TSX, Camry or Solara. I told her to go with the IS300 or the TSX too

was it a silver one with huge logos plastered all over the place?

If so he is local to me :chuckles:

Josh S. used to co-drive that car. I believe he won nationals 2-4 times but I don't remember what years or what class.

nevermind that car is in DS not DSP unless they moved up this year.

Kinda going along with the folks talking about rwd... My civic is the first fwd car I've driven, and it is without a doubt a serious disadvantage...

And to you, Brett, having lived in NoVA for a long time, (not to mention WI and CO) MD winters are nothing. That, and theres nothing inherently better about fwd in the snow or ice. I've driven extensively in the most horrendous of winter conditions in two rwd cars with bad tires and still find either of them better than my civic with ok tires.

IMO in the snow, AWD>RWD>FWD. No snow, RWD>AWD>FWD... either way, FWD is the least desirable drive configuration.

True, but Acura dealers are selling TSXs at close to sticker price while Lexus dealers are giving pretty big discounts on IS300s.

Only downside to the IS300 is that for '05 they dropped the LSD for some reason.

which often means that the sticker price is inflated far beyond MSRP whereas the TSX's sticker prices corespond pretty well with MSRP

Sticker price is MSRP, unless the dealer is charging a markup on a hot new model. The manufacturer puts the sticker in the window.
