Like us here...Depends on the province you live in here as well... All provinces (apart from Quebec) pay 1 income tax report and the federal government redistributes some of the taxes to the provinces.In Quebec we have to file 2 tax reports!

Evolution, I was informed that buying a car in US is more expensive then here. I heard people doing the opposite of what your friend did... I guess it depends on the car it self though. Anywais kinda suck for the Minis but if thats what they wanted.

 

Another reason cars are more expensive in Canada is that the US Dollar is on a slide in value as of late. Companies, especially ones which import cars to America, would really need to raise prices to keep profits up but rather than do that and piss off their American customers who don't pay attention to currency fluctuations, they just keep the prices in non-US markets the same instead of lowering them. Because the people in those markets don't pay attention to currency fluctuations either.
