Another reason cars are more expensive in Canada is that the US Dollar is on a slide in value as of late. Companies, especially ones which import cars to America, would really need to raise prices to keep profits up but rather than do that and piss off their American customers who don't pay attention to currency fluctuations, they just keep the prices in non-US markets the same instead of lowering them. Because the people in those markets don't pay attention to currency fluctuations either.
