I think Bertil Roos... yeah its not real racing school. But, its a start and I am hoping my brother takes that as a jumping step and get some more track time in.

cool. I wish I had time and money to do the same when I went. I went off to college for the next 4 years and didn't get back into any type of motorsports until 4.5 years ago.

 

My sister in law is giving the racing school as a present to my brother for his 30th birthday next year. I really really really want to save money and go with him, but its very unlikely to happen.

 

To add on...

I believe a family that plays together, stays together. We plan to attend as many autocrosses as we can next year. We go to the go kart tracks on a regular basis and race the go karts. I'll never make it into big time racing, but I want to give my future kids the opportunity to. What better way to do it than start racing yourself so that when your kids reach that age you can show them and make it a family thing.

 

then you'd better forget autox and track days and start saving your pennies :chuckles:

 

:lmao: It is true though, racing is expensive and the only thing you get is tons and tons of satisfaction. At one point last year I wanted to quit school, move to Europe and start working for a race team as a janitor or something and work my way up.

Besides you never know the future Mrs axemansean may be loaded and I'll have the $$$ for my toys. Who am I kidding... h:

 

Just because they don't make performance parts doesn't mean anything. I know my friend was sponsored by a pizza shop, and I'm sponsored by Finish First Polish. Sponsors can help out with parts OR monetary items.

 

With what money You're still in school. You should pay off your loans (if you have any) 1st before anything.

 

I have a $20k loan... start paying it from next month. Probably be around ~$100 a month. I have some money saved over for that.
